Irfan Hošić completed his PhD thesis at the Department of Art History at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. His field of research is the art of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 20th century. Hošić won the journalism award by BIRN(Balkan Investigative Reporting Network, Belgrade) in 2012. He was a co-curator of the Pavilion of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 55th Venice Biennale (2013) called the The Garden Delights of the artist Mladen Miljanović. In the academic year 2013/2014 he was as a lecturer at the Stamps School of Art and Design at the University of Michigan, USA. He received the scholarship Basileus for ten-month postdoctoral research at the University of Ghent, Belgium in 2014. He received the Weiser scholarship for the University of Michigan in September 2015. Hošić is an assistant professor at the Textile Department at the Faculty of Technical Engineering, University of Bihać, where he teaches Art History, Sociology of Culture and Fashion, History of Textiles and Clothing. He also works as an art critic and a free lance curator.
